Course Description:

This course is a collection of methods and techniques that will help you to knit all kinds of socks without much effort.

You will see how you can easily design socks from scratch and modify your favourite sock patterns to make one-of-a-kind socks for yourself and anyone else.

In the first chapter of the course, we’ll talk about one of the easiest ways to make top-down socks completely from scratch. It is a perfect solution for anyone who doesn’t want to be restricted by patterns and for those knitters who want to express their creativity using socks as a canvas.

If you feel like trying new techniques to make socks with almost-perfect (because nothing is perfect, right :-)) fit, take a look at the second chapter of the course. This chapter covers a way to make toe-up socks that replicate the natural shape of a human foot. You will get all information you need to knit these socks in nine different sizes without making any calculations at all.

We’ll also talk about ways to customize socks and make them your own unique creations.

For even more options for customization, check out the next chapter of the course – “Adding Colour to Socks”.

We’ll see how we can add various stipes, stranded colourwork and motifs to our socks. All knitting techniques suggested in this chapter are explained in an easy-to-follow format to help you easily make lots of colourful socks.

The “Helpful Techniques” chapter is dedicated to the information that is useful no matter what kind of sock construction you choose. Most tutorials included in this section, explain various ways to work in the round.

These techniques will be especially helpful to those knitter who are new to making seamless projects, and to those who are looking to improve their knitting skills.

It is a self-paced course, so you can work on it on your own time without any pressure and deadlines.
