It is so much fun to plan these mittens!
Because we use three colours, we can easily change the look of the mittens by simply tweaking one of the colours. I like how playing with the third colour (colour C) can change not just the colour, but the "character" of the mittens - from vivid and loud to subtle and quiet.
In this knitalong, I'll stick to the classic colour combination and use black as my colour C, but you don't have to do that. Choose any colour you like and watch how your mittens get their own character. Most of all, have fun making them!

Hi, Maryna, and sorry - I will have to knit the 3-color mitten version another time.
I knitted a sweater for my niece for Christmas and when I told her there was leftover yarn, she opted for an additional hat plus mittens.
So this is the yarn I am using for the mittens.

What a terrific idea! This yarn will make a pair of gorgeous mittens. Still colourful, but with added texture.
You are right - this pattern is easy to adjust for working with one colour. Just skip the stripes. Easy 🙂
